A separate safe area for young people

The audience at Holmenkollen

This year, the "World Cup pile" will be transformed into the "DJ Zone", a separate safe and drug-free area for young people with lots of fun activities.

This year, for the first time, Holmenkollen Skifestival is creating a separate area for young people. The festival wants to create an inclusive and varied offer for both young and older guests. "VM-haugen" will therefore be transformed on Saturday 11 March into "DJ-Zone"! It will host competitions, meet and greets and concerts.

Healthy offer for young people

Young people will have their own area, which will be drug-free and safe.

- We have been looking forward to this for a long time! It's the first time we're creating a separate youth area at the event. We want the Ski Festival to be something for everyone. By creating a cool area with influencers and artists who are popular with young people, we hope to create a safe alternative to the field party inside the arena. Here you simply experience winter sports and festival atmosphere in one and the same place," says Holmenkollen's general manager Skifestival Stefan Marx.

The DJ Zone will be right next to the course, and there will also be a screen inside the area where you can follow the athletes and the race.

You can buy tickets for "DJ-Zone" here.

Performance of TikTok stars

Youngsters can expect performances by viral artists David Mokel and Heux. Mokel started out with funny videos on TikTok with thousands of followers, but is now best known for his mega-hit "Dance on the table" with Ballinciaga. Heux broke through with his viral TikTok hit "Chernobyl 2017". With more viral hits, Heux takes after big brother TIX and is an artist to watch out for.

DJ-Zone will start at 10.00 and end around 14.30. DJ-Zone is for everyone, but is especially adapted for children between 13-18 years old. Children under 13 can enter with an adult.

The Holmenkollen Ski Festival is the weekend of 9 to 12 March, see the festival programme here.
