In the arena

The spectator experience at the Biathlon World Cup Final in Holmenkollen goes beyond what is happening in the course and on the shooting range. This page will take you through our spectator areas and what you can find in the arena.

We recommend arriving at the arena early to experience the great atmosphere before the races begin. All arena and trackside tickets are unnumbered, so early birds will be able to pick and choose from the best positions in the stands.

Arena opening hours:

Thursday 16 March: 13:30
Friday 17 March: 13:30
Saturday 18 March: 10:30
Sunday 19 March: 10:00

Spectator areas

Holmenkollen has two stands; the North Stand and the South Stand, and two other ticketed zones; VM-Haugen and Kapellskogen. All areas have access to food and drinks, view of a big screen and sound from the arena speakers.

There are two “festival streets” with plenty of food trucks, merchandise and activities, and our spectator tent can be found close to the Main Entrance in Festival Street South. This is also the place for our Afterski after the competitions on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Access to Afterski must be purchased in advance, and you have to be older than 18 years to enter. The tent closes at 23:00.

The stands

NORTH STAND

The North Stand has a capacity of 4250 people, and takes you close to all the drama. From here you have a good view of the shooting range, and you are very close to the finish line. The competitions can also be followed on the big screen and our enthusiastic speakers will get you in the right mood.

SOUTH STAND (VIP)

If you want a more exclusive experience in Holmenkollen, then the VIP area is the place for you. The VIP lounge is on the second floor of the spectator tent, while the VIP seats in the arena are in the South Stand.

VM-HAUGEN

VM-Haugen gives you the perfect combination of stadium vibes and the feeling of being out in the woods. From here you have a good view of the stadium and the targets, as well as the start and finish of the races.

KAPELLSKOGEN

The World Cup in Holmenkollen is an experience for everyone - including the youngest! While the adults can watch the drama taking place in the tracks, our mascot Braute offers various activities to entertain the kids. Activities include lazer shooting, face paint, quiz and an exciting trail.
