Welcome to the Holmenkollen Ski Show on Saturday, June 10

We invite both juniors and seniors, in cross-country and biathlon to roller ski races.
In collaboration with the Norwegian Ski Association Cross-country and the Norwegian Biathlon Federation, Holmenkollen Skifestival organizes the traditional roller ski races. The pursuit and the single mixed relay are broadcast on NRK.

Race program:

Between the junior races and the prologues, there is a day of broad and recruitment for skiing in cooperation with the federations' ski/biathlon circles. The day is filled with activities for children and young people in and outside the arena.

TRAIL MAP CROSS-COUNTRY

Course length 3 km
Junior cross country: Interval start (2 laps)
Senior cross country: Prologue (1 lap); Pursuit (3 laps)

PISTE MAP BIATHLON

Course length 1.3 km
Single mixed relay
Total 8 rounds per team incl. shooting (9th and last round over Northugflata)

It is assumed that Norwegian runners have paid NSF's ski license.
Registration deadline: Thursday, June 8
Participation is free of charge.

Registration for biathlon after invitation and dialog with NSSF.
NB: The classes in junior cross-country are open to biathletes. Use the cross-country skiing registration link.

Practical information biathlon:

Shooting 15 min. 30 targets.
Biathlon goes round course of 1.3 km.
Further information about equipment, courses, rules and procedures will be given in a separate invitation.

Practical information cross-country:

The race is freestyle, laps of 3 km.
Juniors women and men - interval start.

Senior/elite - prologues with 15 sec. start interval.
Senior/elite - the top 50 after prologue results go on to the pursuit.

Start procedure pursuit, cross-country

Equipment - all participants

  • Everyone is using roller skis provided by the IDT and distributed by the IDT/organizer.
  • Roller skis are removed and placed in the designated area at the finish area after the race.
  • Everyone provides their own poles, helmet and goggles. Helmets and glasses are compulsory.


Race numbers/badges - all participants

Junior: Race numbers and bibs will be collected at 11.30-12.30 in the start area.
Race numbers must be handed in at the finish.

Senior: Bibs and bibs can be picked up at the starting area:
16.00-17.15 for prologue cross-country, and biathlon
19.15 for cross-country pursuit


Warm-up - all participants

Warm-up on the competition course is allowed as follows:

11.30-12.45 (junior)
17.00-17.30 (senior/elite cross country and biathlon)

The course is closed 10 minutes before the start.


Results and prize giving - all participants

Results will be shared on holmenkollenskifestival.no

Junior:
Prize giving will take place in the stadium immediately after all junior athletes have finished. Prizes for the top three juniors.

Senior/elite cross-country and biathlon:
Prize money for the top three in each class and event.


Wardrobe

Changing rooms with showers are available in the Service Building (main floor) from 13:00


Parking

Participants are advised to park at the Service Building/lower part of the Hopp Square.  


Kiosk and catering

It will be possible to buy drinks and food in the ski show area in Kongeveien/behind the Event House.
