About Holmenkollen Skifestival:
The Norwegian Ski Federation and the Norwegian Biathlon Association jointly own Holmenkollen Skifestival AS (hereinafter referred to as HKS), an organizing company that arranges the World Cup in Nordic disciplines (Skifest & RAW AIR) and the World Cup biathlon. HKS is one of the most well-known and largest cultural/sports organizers in Norway. The events also have a high international status.
Type of employment: Project position, part-time

Period: Weeks 8-11 2024 (20 days in total)
Event dates 2024:
Biathlon World Cup: 29.02-03.03.2024, Nordic World Cup: 07-10.03.2024
As one of two rig leaders, you will be responsible for leading volunteer groups during the rigging and dismantling of the temporary arena. On event days, you will work as a runner/caretaker. The rig leaders work closely with the Project Manager Arena & Festival. The work is mainly outdoors and physically demanding with long days.
Tasks:
- Familiarize yourself with the rigging plan and arena
- Lead larger and smaller groups during the rigging and dismantling of the temporary arena
- Perform typical ad hoc tasks related to rigging and temporary facilities
- Follow up on suppliers during rigging and dismantling, in collaboration with the Project Manager Arena & Festival
Skills/experience:
- Used to a high pace and physical work
- Advantage with experience from similar work
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Action and solution-oriented
- Advantage if you have a forklift license

As a Project Coordinator Arena & Festival, you will assist the Project Manager for Arena & Festival in the preparation and implementation of the event. You will also be the leader of the event office, which is a service function for volunteers and the administration during the event. In this position, you will be involved in many parts of the event and gain a good understanding of the whole in a large and complex event.
Tasks:
- Familiarize yourself with the rigging plan and arena
- Lead the event office
- Prepare and coordinate service functions related to the event
- Prepare and coordinate various sales outlets
- Responsible for coordinating resources to the various sales outlets
- Storing merch after the event
- Assist the project manager in following up with stakeholders in the festival streets
