About Holmenkollen Skifestival:
The Norwegian Ski Association and the Norwegian Biathlon Association jointly own Holmenkollen. Skifestival AS (hereinafter referred to as HKS), an organizing company that organizes the World Cup in Nordic branches ( Skifest & RAW AIR ) and World Cup biathlon. HKS is one of the best known and largest cultural/sports organizers in Norway. The events also have a high status internationally.
Form of employment: Project position, part-time

Salary: By agreement
Period: Weeks 8-11 2024 (total 20 days)
Event dates 2024:
Biathlon World Cup: 29.02-03.03.2024, World Cup Nordic Branches: 07-10.03.2024
As one of two rigging managers, you will be responsible for leading volunteer groups and volunteers during the rigging and dismantling of the temporary arena. On event days, you will act as a runner/caretaker. The rig leaders work closely with the Arena & Festival project manager, and the work takes place mainly outdoors and is physically demanding with long days.
Work tasks:
- Familiarize yourself with the rigging plan and venue
- Lead large and small groups during rigging and unrigging of the temporary arena
- Performing typical adhoc tasks related to rigging and makeshifts
- Follow-up of suppliers during rigging and de-rigging, in collaboration with the Arena & Festival project manager
Characteristics/experience:
- Used to fast pace and physical work
- Experience from similar work is an advantage
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Action- and solution-oriented
- Advantage if you have a forklift driver's license

As project coordinator arena & festival, you will assist the project manager for arena & festival in the preparation and implementation of the event. You will also be the head of the event office, which is a service function for volunteers and administration during the event. In this position, you will be involved in many parts of the event and gain a good understanding of the whole of a large and complex event.
Work tasks:
- Familiarize yourself with the rigging plan and venue
- Manage the event office
- Prepare and coordinate services related to the event
- Prepare and coordinate different outlets
- Responsible for coordinating resources to the different outlets
- Storage of merch after the event
- Assisting the project manager in following up players in the festival streets
