Dear ski fans,
We encourage you to use public transport when traveling to Holmenkollen Skifestival. Ruter's Line 1 Holmenkollen/Frognerseteren provides an easy and efficient way to get to the event. The Holmenkollen subway station is located in the immediate vicinity of the Skifestival area, making it a convenient choice for your journey.
During the Skifestival weekends, March 2-3 and March 9-10, there will be extra departures to accommodate the audience's needs. Ruter will offer an increased number of train departures, line 1 Holmenkollen/Frognerseteren will start from the city center, and there will be a shuttle up to Holmenkollen T-bane station from early to late. We strongly recommend using public transport to help reduce traffic density around the Holmenkollen area, as there are no parking options.

During Nordic, Holmenkollen T-bane station will be the last stop
- Line 1: Majorstuen/Frøen – Holmenkollen every 15 minutes throughout the operating hours
- Line 1E Express: Sinsen – Holmenkollen every 15 minutes, approx. 06:45 – 20:00
- Line 1E Express: Helsfyr – Holmenkollen every 15 minutes, approx. 06:45 – 20:00
The safety and comfort of our visitors are our top priorities. That's why we'll have dedicated volunteers from Holmenkollen Skifestival, security guards, and police available along the route to the arena. They're there to guide you and help with any questions you may have.
Heading to Marka?
If you are going to Marka during the weekend of March 8-10, we recommend allowing plenty of time.
Line 1 has Holmenkollen as its last stop, from there you have to walk along Holmenkollveien all the way to Sporten/Marka. Allow plenty of time, be considerate and take care of each other, as many people will be going up to the same area at the same time.
