The World Cup biathlon finals will take place in Holmenkollen on March 21-23. Biathlon legends Tarjei Bø and Johannes Thingnes Bø will also be present, as they will be competing in their very last races as professional athletes. We can't let that go unnoticed, so we will be providing the full "Bø experience" in Holmenkollen.
For this year's biathlon weekend, the public area previously known as Haugen, is renamed "Bø-Haugen" in honor of the brothers. “We look forward to welcoming many thousands of biathlon fans to the farewell party for Tarjei and Johannes. There are still tickets left for Bø-Haugen , for those who really want to have the full Bø experience this March weekend,” says the general manager of Holmenkollen Skifestival , Stefan Marx.

Stryn is coming to Holmenkollen
At Bø-Haugen Stryn (the place the brothers come from) will be in focus all weekend. For spectators with these tickets, it will be possible to buy the traditional "stryne-style" griddle cakes, and lots of fun Bø effects will be available. “Both we and several of our sponsors want to celebrate Tarjei and Johannes,” says project manager for biathlon, Marthe Bøhler.
From Bø-Haugen you will have access to food and drinks, a short walk to facilities and of course a good view of the trail. In addition, large screens ensure that you catch every detail.
Good luck wishes from the mayor
The mayor of Stryn, Per Kjøllesdal, believes that the brothers have been good role models and ambassadors – both for Markane, Stryn, Norway and the sport of biathlon. He also highlights the local community, and the many people who have been part of the journey: “Since they were beginners, local coaches and volunteers have made a great effort with facilitation and follow-up. Many people could be thanked here for the effort they have put in for both Tarjei and Johannes and for many others who have found joy in biathlon. However, the main part of the credit should go to the family and not least Johannes and Tarjei themselves.”
Thank you very much for all the experiences, excitement, scenes of jubilation and honest feedback you have given us throughout your long careers. We will miss you in the biathlon track, but we take comfort in the fact that the next generation of good biathletes is good both in Stryn and in Norway. Good luck to you, and thank you very much for all the magic you have created in biathlon arenas around the world!
– Per Kjøllesdal, mayor of Stryn municipality
Now we are ready to welcome the brothers in Holmenkollen one last time. Stefan Marx has the following message to this year's audience: “We look forward to the traditional Kollenbrøl* this year turning into a resounding "KollenBØ" from thousands of voices!”
*The "Kollenbrøl" is a traditional roaring cheer from the spectators in Holmenkollen
