Last season, Italian Lisa Vitozzi proved to everyone that she will be one to watch. Finishing second in the overall, she performed the best results of her career so far.
Hungry for more
Despite the impressive 2018/19 season, the 24-year old is hungry for more. After the finals in Holmenkollen, she clearly expressed that she would continue to aim even higher -“I am very satisfied with my season, even if the pressure has played bad tricks – the last stage was the most disappointing, but I am aware that I can play something important next year too, I will fight to win the Cup”.
The level of women’s biathlon is very high today, according to Lisa, but that only triggers her ambitions further. We are so excited that we will be welcoming this Italian in Holmenkollen in a few months, and can’t wait to cheer her on during the World Cup competitions 20 – 22 March 2020. We hope to see as many Italian flags as possible!
