Oslo is easily reached by air, road, sea or rail. Holmenkollen is only a 26-minute metro ride away from the centre of Oslo. Please leave plenty of time. We’re expecting big crowds!

Here is some practical information about how to get to Holmenkollen and Oslo.


Travel on the metro from the centre of Oslo to Holmenkollen. Take Line 1 (destination Frognerseteren), which operates a frequent service from early morning. Alight at Holmenkollen Station. The arena is only 300 metres away. Just follow the roar!


Walking from Majorstuen to Holmenkollen takes around 1 hr 30 mins. Follow Slemdalsveien to Slemdal Station, then continue along Frognerseterveien until you reach Besserud Station. From there it is around 1 km to the arena.


There are no parking facilities in Holmenkollen during the World Cup final. Alternatively, you can park in the centre of Oslo and make your way to Holmenkollen by metro or on foot.


Trains stop at Oslo Central Station, while most long-distance coaches stop at Oslo Bus Terminal. Both are located in the centre of Oslo and within walking distance to the metro.

Most visitors to Oslo and Norway fly to Oslo Airport in Gardermoen. From there the Flytoget express train offers the easiest and fastest transfer to central Oslo.

Those arriving at Torp Sandefjord Airport have the option of travelling to the capital by coach, train or taxi.

Those arriving by ferry will find themselves disembarking right in the centre of Oslo, moments away from Oslo Central Station. Color Line docks at Hjortneskaia, while DFDS Seaways and Stena Line dock at Vippetangen. Please remember there are no parking facilities in Holmenkollen. If you have a car with you, you must park it in central Oslo before making your way to the arena by metro (Line 1 – destination Frognerseteren).
